MSNBC host Joy Reid recently claimed that Republicans are attempting to rile up white voters by coming out against what many are calling ‘critical race theory.’ On her show, ‘The Reid Out,’ she suggested that this is about selling ‘white grievance and rage’ which Reid said is the ‘same rage that produces attacks on Asian-Americans and Jewish people.’
But is this actually correct? Who are the main perpetrators of the attacks on Jews and Asians, and are these the most likely form of interracial attacks in the US?
Statements like this and articles with headlines like “Can US Spy Agencies Stop White Terror?” and “White Supremacist Extremists are the Nation’s Deadliest Terror Threat” are meant to convince Americans of something that – according to all available government data – is statistically false.
This narrative isn’t new. Last year, representative Ilhan Omar claimed that ‘white men’ are the ’cause of most death in the country’ and that Americans should be more fearful of White men than anyone else.
Despite these popular claims, it just takes a cursory look into all available government statistics and academic studies to show this narrative isn’t even close to being a reality.
The Truth About the Crime Surge
According to data from the CDC, the FBI, the Bureau of Justice, and every scientific analysis ever done on crime broken down by race – black males are the most common culprit of violent crime. Black males commit the highest rate of homicide, the majority of homicides, and around 80% of all gun homicides, despite only making up a sliver of the US population.
The black crime rates have been increasing for decades, and especially surging lately. Many Black majority cities are now far more dangerous in terms of homicide than many south and central American cities, despite those cities having much higher rates of poverty and poorer education.
The new crime reporting system released by the FBI shows that the murder rate in almost every city in the United States is at the highest levels in over twenty years.
Using the FBI data, experts conclude the murder rate for 2020 was approximately 6.22 per 100,000 people. Not since 1998 has the country seen a murder rate that high. Several cities in the US have hit all-time records fr homicide and shootings.
According to a study out of SJ Quinney College of Law, American cities
are witnessing significant declines in some forms of policing, which in turn is producing exponential homicide spikes.
Somehow though, every institution and media outlet claims that ‘white supremacy’ is the greatest threat Americans face right now.
According to most economists and criminologists, the reason for the surge in homicides is indeed due to police ‘backing down’ from enforcement in the face of public backlash. Police across the nation are either retiring at record rates or transferring out of Black majority cities due to the stigma caused by the protests and riots.
The cost of policing for them outweighs the benefits, especially with the push for the removal of qualified immunity.
Hate Crimes Against White People Surge, and are Barely Reported
Americans have heard a lot about Anti-Asian attacks amid the outbreak of COVID-19 in the United States. Although these attacks have increased in recent months, they’re not the most common forms of interracial violence.
Data show white Americans are victims of interracial crime at a higher rate than any other group. In 2018, The Bureau of Justice Statistics released their survey of criminal victimization, breaking down 593,598 interracial violence between blacks and whites.
Black Americans committed 537,204 of those interracial felonies or 90 percent, while white Americans committed 56,394 of them or less than 10 percent.
In 2012-13, then-President Obama’s DOJ recorded that black Americans committed 85 percent of all interracial victimizations between black and white Americans; white Americans only committed 15 percent.
Furthermore, despite making up only 13.4% of the American population, black Americans commit more than double the amount of interracial homicides on white Americans, who make up 60% of the American population.
Recently, a 39-year-old Black man who was accused of shooting and wounding five people in Alabama and Georgia told police his assaults were racially motivated, and he was targeting White men specifically.
The case comes at a time when anti-white sentiments in America have risen exponentially, and coverage of these stories by news outlets is sparse.
Many Americans claim that there is a clear connection between the anti-white curriculum being taught in public schools across the nation and being spread by every institution, and the recent surge in black-on-white attacks and murders.
Following an Atlanta shooting spree, the man who murdered one woman and paralyzed another testified at his trial that he was motivated by beliefs he had acquired about white people at the University of West Georgia.
“I was trying to prove a point that Europeans had colonized the world, and as a result of that, we see a lot of evil today,” Thandiwe testified. “In terms of slavery, it was something that needed to be answered for. I was trying to spread the message of making white people mend.”
Thandiwe told the court that he had attended an event about racial inequality the night before his shooting spree, and he became furious.
Last year the NYPD arrested a black man for committing random hate attacks against White people. The man later confessed that he wanted to “kill all white people,” following his murder spree that resulted in the killing of 6 white people.
One of the more recent examples is a story about a man in Spring Texas who was viciously beaten by a group of Black teens at the Exxon convenience store in Harris County. One man shouted ‘Black Lives Matter,’ while kicking him in the face during the horrendous attack.
Only a couple of local news outlets picked the story up.
Last August, a black man who has committed as many as seven separate attacks on White pedestrians in Manhattan this month, calling one of his victims a “f—ing honky,” authorities said.
The suspected hate crime spree began at 9:10 p.m. on Aug. 9, on Fifth Avenue near 14th Street, police said. The suspect ran up behind a 56-year-old man and shoved him to the ground, authorities said.
The man attacked three people in a matter of hours on Aug. 14. At about 8:35 p.m., he slugged a 64-year-old woman in the neck and shoulder with a wooden stick as she walked on Greenwich Avenue near Eighth Avenue, cops said. About an hour later, he hit a 20-year-old woman in the back of the head with a brick on Wooster Street near Canal Street, cops said.
A state delegate for Frederick County, Maryland, recently proposed changes to the state’s hate crime law after a white man was fatally attacked by a group of black teens at a county fair. John Weed, of Mount Airy, was at the Great Frederick Fair with his family when officials say a 15-year-old boy sucker-punched him, without provocation. The teen and his 16-year-old brother had asked Weed for a dollar and he refused, according to prosecutors. Weed died the next day at age 59.
Last July police arrested a 17-year-old who authorities say was in a group of teenagers caught on surveillance video beating and stomping a man at the entrance to the Washington Hilton hotel near Dupont Circle.
The police report says as many as 10 male and female teenagers as young as 13 participated in the attack in the circular driveway of the hotel in the 1900 block of Connecticut Avenue NW, north of Dupont Circle and near Adams Morgan. A police spokesman put the number of youths at up to 14.
Last year, Minneapolis police reported 20 people have been arrested, 18 of them charged, in connection with two brutal mob-style robberies caught on tape in viral videos.
The suspects ranged in age from 15 to 27 and were charged with various counts of robbery relating to two vicious robberies in August in which mobs surrounded young men and beat them unconscious. Some suspects were charged with first-degree felony robbery, which carries up to 20 years in prison.
Brendan O’Brien, 24, told Fox News he was out celebrating his birthday in Minneapolis when he was surrounded by one of the mobs and then beaten. The video appears to show O’Brien clinging to his belongings until he finally was knocked out.
In August of 2021, a white Georgia high school student was brutally assaulted at a basketball game in an unprovoked attack while other students stood by laughing, and some jumped in to help in the beating.
“People actually applauded. I don’t understand that. I can’t even now understand it. I don’t know where the disconnect is with seeing someone get hurt and finding joy and humor. I can’t fathom that and it haunts me,” the mother of the student told news outlets.
Nicholas Cox, 16, was attacked at a school recreation center in Sugar Hill, and was left with a severe concussion, his jaw broken in multiple places, and whiplash.
After he was pushed down by one student, Nick got up to confront the attacker as another student blindsided and sucker-punched him which put him on the ground. Subsequently, others joined in on the beating.
Pamela Ahlstedt-Brown, a disabled Army veteran, told WAVE-TV she was trying to back out of a handicapped space at the local Kroger grocery store when she noticed a vehicle parked behind her, preventing her from exiting the space.
Brown described the passengers of the vehicle as four young black women in a Dodge car.
“I get out and I say, ‘Do you guys need any help?’ and she said, ‘F*** you, you white b****.’ I said, ‘Hold on, you don’t even know me,'” Brown said. “I said, ‘That’s fine. If you don’t need anything, that’s fine. I’ll get back in the car,'” Ahlstedt-Brown explained.
That’s when Brown was attacked, she told WAVE.
“I mean, they were beating me, and I was in a fetal position, covering my face, making sure they didn’t get my eyes,” she said.
A spokesman for the Louisville Metro Police Department at the time reportedly said detectives are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
According to another recent report, an elderly white man enjoying the sun in California’s Venice Beach, was hospitalized after a vicious attack near the Venice Beach boardwalk Sunday afternoon. Video from Citizen app shows police and onlookers surrounding a man in his 70’s who was injured when he was knocked to the ground.
According to police, the elderly man had lacerations to his face, a shattered cheek, and broken ocular bone in many places. He is recovering at home. Video shows the victim performing on the Venice Beach Boardwalk as a younger man walks past him before quickly turning and punching the performer in the face, then walking away.
The older man is later seen on the ground being tended to as he holds his head, cellphone video shows. The assault was reported around 12:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Ocean Front Walk, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Lizeth Lomeli.
According to a recent report by CBS News, a pregnant woman walking on the Peachtree Creek Greenway in Georgia was stabbed dozens of times in a random attack by a Black man.
The woman, who is 5 months pregnant, was walking with her younger child on Saturday afternoon when the suspect tried to start a conversation with her. As she walked away, the suspect proceeded to stab the woman in the back more than 20 times with a pocket knife.
According to another report by the Daily Mail, a father-of-three was shot twice in a random attack while out jogging on Saturday morning in Atlanta’s wealthiest neighborhood, Buckhead. Police say the suspect also opened fire on two other people, and mowed down a neighbor with his car.
22-year-old Gaelen Newsom was arrested by Atlanta police, and charged with attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault and two counts of possession of a firearm during a crime in connection with the weekend crime spree.
In Fargo, ND, a 14-year-old White teenager was stabbed 25 times in what her father said was a random attack early in the morning on Friday. Arthur Prince Kollie, 23, was charged with murder in the attack, and Fargo police said Kollie has no permanent address.
The victim’s father established a GoFundMe in the wake of the stabbing. The father said his daughter was skateboarding at her mother’s house when she was attacked at random. He said his daughter was beaten, strangled, and stabbed 25 times in the attack. She did not survive the attack.
Another attack at a grocery store left an elderly White man fighting for his life.
While walking down the aisle in a Kroger supermarket, the 60-year-old man was randomly attacked from behind by a young Black man.
He was beaten so badly, he had brain hemorrhaging, and several broken bones.
These are just a few of the hundreds of thousands of Black on White attacks that have occurred just within the past few years.

In 2020, Kori Ali Muhammad confessed the motivation behind his mortally wounding of three white males during a targeted shooting spree in Fresno, California. Muhammad told officials that ‘he wanted to kill white men.’
According to his social media posts, Muhammad expressed a strong dislike toward “white people” as well as government officials. He made reference to “a race war against whites,” the evils of “white devils” and being a “black soldier.”
Hundreds of black Americans praised his actions on social media following reporting of his attacks.
In 2017, Emanuel K. Samson targeted a white church with the goal of killing white churchgoers. The black man suspected in the 2017 mass shooting at the Antioch church, went there “with the intent to murder a minimum of 10 white churchgoers.”
Deputy District Attorney Amy Hunter said he left a note on the dashboard of his vehicle explaining his frustration about reports of white nationalist attacks and outlined his plans to retaliate.
The note said “Dylann Roof is less than nothing,” and referenced “the blood that 10 of your kind will shed … in terms of vengeance,” according to portions Hunter read out loud in court.
Police say Samson fatally shot Melanie Crow as she was walking through the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ parking lot after Sunday service, and then shot and injured several others.
Various black nationalists have also been emboldened by this sort of rhetoric, especially when it comes to the statistically false narrative of the Black Lives Matter movement. There are countless examples that the national media chooses not to cover widely, but here are just a few:
- Micah Xavier Johnson, who killed five police officers in Dallas, was increasingly drawn to black nationalist ideology and attended several meetings of the People’s New Black Panther Party.
- Gavin Eugene Long, who killed three officers in Baton Rouge, said he belonged to the Washitaw Nation, an obscure black nationalist group that claims ownership to the huge swath of the United States obtained in the Louisiana Purchase on the belief that they are descended from a U.S. indigenous group.
Statistics of Interracial Attacks Between Blacks and Whites
Data show White Americans are far more often victims of interracial crime than Black Americans. Blacks committed 537,204 of those interracial felonies or 90 percent, and Whites committed 56,394 of them or less than 10 percent.

Furthermore, despite making up only 13.4% of the American population, Black Americans commit more than double the amount of interracial homicides on White Americans, who make up 60.4% of the American population.
The national media tends to cherry-pick less than 10% of stories regarding interracial crime and represent it as the majority – while completely ignoring the legitimate statistical majority of interracial assaults.
Here are a few examples:
The story of Emmanuel Aranda, who threw a five-year-old white child over a balcony in Minnesota.
The story of Dominique Lang, who shot a white baby in the face for the fun of it while attempting to rob his mother.
The story of Cadesha Michelle Bishop, who was arrested for the murder of an elderly White man, after she pushed the seventy-four-year-old to his death on the bus.
The story of Cannon Hinnant, the 5-year-old boy who was shot in the head while riding his bike by a Black man outside his father’s home in Wilson, North Carolina.
All of these stories received a less than 1% of the media attention the Nia Wilson story received.
Hate Crime and Hate Groups
The national media often fails to mention that Black Americans are vastly overrepresented among perpetrators of hate crimes—by 50 percent—according to recent Justice Department data from 2017; Whites are underrepresented by 24 percent. It also doesn’t appear to matter which year we look at in regards to hate crimes, as the below results are fairly consistent.
Additionally, Black Americans commit hate crimes at a rate that is three times higher than Whites per 100,000 according to FBI crime data from 2016 and 2017. All of this data is available, and yet the numerous congressional hearings on “White Nationalism” may have made you believe otherwise.
Black Americans are also more than twice as likely to be in a hate group than white Americans, according to the SPLC’s own data.
Hate Attacks and Domestic Terrorism
Moreover, the narrative that domestic terror attacks by right-wing’ White Americans are more likely to occur than Islamic terror attacks, is extremely misleading.
In 2017, California State Senate Leader Kevin de León called for hearings on what his office described as the rise of the white supremacist movement. During this Hearing, De’ Leon claimed that “Radical right-wing terrorism is on the rise in our great country. And since 2008, terrorist attacks on the U.S. soil carried out by right-wing extremist groups, including white supremacists, outnumber those by Islamic jihadists by two to one. That is a statistical fact.”
Politifact subsequently fact-checked his claim but didn’t rate it because if they were to, it would certainly result in a ‘pants on fire’ rating. Here are the facts:
Reveal reported finding 115, tied to ‘right-wing extremists’ compared with terror “incidents” tied to ‘Islamist groups’ from January 2008 through the end of 2016.
According to a widely shared GAO report, 85 deadly attacks in the United States were carried out by violent extremists resulting in 225 deaths. More people died during attacks connected with Islamic jihadists.
Of those 225 deaths by extremists:
• 106 individuals were killed by far-right violent extremists in 62 separate incidents;
• 119 individuals were killed by radical Islamist violent extremists in 23 separate incidents
The full context is what most of the media leaves out: Muslims of all ages living in the U.S. in 2017, made up about 1.1% of the total U.S. population. White Americans make up approximately 62% of the total U.S. population.
If we put this into context, Muslims in America are more than 20 times more likely to commit an extremist attack than white Americans per 100,000, based on these numbers since the 9/11 attacks have occurred. Muslims in the U.S. are also approximately 60 times more likely than white Americans to commit an extremist murder.
But are the GAO numbers actually accurate? The source in question is a 2017 Government Accountability Office study titled “Countering Violent Extremism.” The study is flimsy at best on what constitutes a right-wing terrorist attack. On page 29 of the study for example, describes one of the attacks as “ A White Supremacist member of Aryan Brotherhood killed a man.” There is no detail as to the motive or the race of the victim. According to the study, that same person also killed someone else in later weeks, and this was counted as a separate “terrorist attack” by the GAO.
On page 31, they document that a “Far rightist murdered a homeless man” and counted this as a right-wing terror attack as well. On page 32 they describe a “White supremacist who shot and killed 9 at his community college.” That shooting was the 2015 Umpqua Community College shooting, carried out by a self-described “mixed-race” individual who singled out Christians for his attack. On page 30, the study lists a case where six white supremacist inmates beat another prisoner to death. According to the report, this attack occurred while the men were in prison, and was counted as a ‘right-wing terrorist’ attack.
These are just some of the questionable individual occurrences listed in the study, so drawing an extremely accurate conclusion from both the GAO and Reveal reporting is impossible. But what about general interracial attacks in the U.S.?
Black nationalists are also vastly more likely to commit an attack than white nationalists are. There are countless anecdotal examples that the national media chooses not to cover widely, but this objective truth is also backed up by all available data.
Some of these examples are as follows:
David N. Anderson, 47, and Francine Graham, 50 killed six people in Jersey City, targeting a kosher Jewish market. Authorities also suspected that the two assailants may have been involved in a separate killing in neighboring Bayonne, N.J., according to New Jersey’s attorney general, Gurbir S. Grewal.
Micah Xavier Johnson, who killed five police officers in Dallas, was increasingly drawn to black nationalist ideology and attended several meetings of the People’s New Black Panther Party.
Gavin Eugene Long, who killed three officers in Baton Rouge, said he belonged to the Washitaw Nation, an obscure black nationalist group that claims ownership to the huge swath of the United States obtained in the Louisiana Purchase on the belief that they are descended from a U.S. indigenous group.
According to the department of homeland security, from 2015 through 209, black Americans are over-represented by 19.4% in domestic extremist attacks, while white Americans are under-represented by 32% in domestic extremist attacks.
Black Americans make up only 13% of the American population, yet made up over 32% of the domestic extremist attacks from 2015 to 2019. White Americans make up 62% of the population, yet during the same time period accounted for 29% of the domestic extremist attacks.
The Latest Mistruth
The latest attempt at convincing Americans White people are the biggest threat of violence you should be worried about, is a CSIS report that was published by the Washington Post and other outlets recently.
After the publishing of the report, data experts were quick to point out the massive flaws in the methodology of the report, as well as the countless sourcing errors.
Firstly, the report does not even include the actual data they use for their conclusions, nor does the report supply any type of chronicle of the incidents.
Additionally, the researchers admit they are not using the formal definition of ‘terrorism,’ and they concede that they excluded most Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots, deeming them APolitical.
Furthermore, the report admits that deaths from right-wing attacks have been declining and that they sourced some of their graphs from the ADL.
What’s more, the report concedes that they included plots (a dysphemism for online chatter) and counted message boards and messaging ‘plots’ as actual attacks.
