This year, the newly made-up ‘federal holiday’ known as “Juneteenth” landed on fathers day, reminding everyone that around 70% of black Americans grow up without a father in the household.
According to researchers, children who grow up without a father in the household are significantly more likely to lead a life of crime.
Researchers also assert that fatherless children are far more likely to suffer from mental health issues, including aggression, recklessness, and suicidal tendencies.
Let’s look at what we have to be thankful for on this solemn Juneteenth Father’s Day.
